Privacy policy
The AuDHD Accountant is the trading name of James Nicholson.
- What I
collect When you use the contact form: your name, email address, what you do, how you found me, and anything else you choose to write.
You may choose to include health information, such as a diagnosis. That is optional, and I will only use it to respond to you.
Separately, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how fast pages load. It does not use cookies or identify individual visitors. I collect nothing else, and this website does not use cookies or any other tracking technology.
- Why I
collect it - Contact form details are used solely to respond to your enquiry. I use them because you have asked me to get in touch about my services, which is a lawful basis called "taking steps at your request before entering a contract". Visit counts are used only to see whether the site is working well. Your details are not used for marketing, are not sold, and are not shared with any third party except as described below.
- Who else
handles it - Contact form submissions are handled by Web3Forms (web3forms.com). Your submission is processed by Web3Forms and forwarded to me by email. Emails sent to me, including forwarded form submissions, are held by Zoho Mail, my email provider. I do not operate any server or database of my own. Web3Forms keeps submissions for up to three years before deleting them automatically, and may process data outside the UK under contractual safeguards. This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver the site and keep it secure, and which provides the Web Analytics described above.
- How long I
keep it - I retain enquiry emails for as long as is reasonably necessary to manage the correspondence. If you become a client, your data is then held in line with my client data retention policy: tax and accounting records for five years and ten months after the end of the relevant tax year, and anti-money laundering records for five years after our relationship ends.
- Your
rights - Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data I hold about you. You can also ask me to restrict how I use it, object to how I use it, and withdraw any consent you have given, at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email james@audhdaccountant.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how I've handled your data.
